The Medical Services System of Care Committee (MSSOC) is a part of the System of Care structure within CMHDA. The MSSOC has created a communication system to develop and strengthen clinical expertise among county mental health members. They have working relationships with the California Department of Mental Health Quality Improvement Committee, and work with other System of Care Committees to assure that clinical best practices are a part of policy and practice development.

The Committee has regular work groups to address:

• Clinical treatment guidelines
• LPS clinical issues
• Pharmacy issues
• Medical information systems
• Physical health plans clinical interface
• Public mental health funding clinical issues
