The goals that the committee identified fit into four categories:

• Advocacy and Response - identify policy issues of concern and developing creative responses to them.
• Information Sharing and Assistance - facilitate an environment for information sharing between counties and the State, and create a clearinghouse of information systems development information.
• Training, Recruitment, and Staffing - assure that county information systems personnel and departments have opportunities for continued learning around critical issues.
• Service Delivery Enhancement - identifying ways in which information technology can enhance service delivery.
